Hotels typically have occupation rates of 65% to 70%. Hotel consolidators exist to help boost the occupation rates. Hotels realise that selling a room at a discount is much better than an empty room. Until recently, there wasn't much that the hotel owners could do about the problem. They had to deal with both the loss of revenue and the loss of hotel guests that would hopefully return for another visit.

You can sometimes obtain rooms through hotel consolidators when the hotel says it is full as consolidators buy in bulk.

Recently, however, many companies have set themselves up offering discounted hotel rooms. The revenue that it produces along with money spent on hotel facilities, bars, restaurants etc.helps to improve the hotel profits. The odds are that if you enjoyed your stay you will come back again and recomend to friends.

The hotel would much prefer you to pay their full published rate, but that is not the reason you are at this website.

What you must do when booking through a consolidator:

Check out the company that you use and make sure that they have secure on-line payment facilities.

Always pay by credit card as you can claim compensation should anything go wrong.
