European budget airlines have grown at a tremendous speed over the last few years.

This can only be great news for us budget travellers.

The following is a listing of some of the operators but is by no means a full list.

The following is a list of all the European budget airlines that I could find, I am sure that it is not a comprehensive list. If you know of any other European budget airlines please let me know on the form above and I will add them to this site.

Aer Arean They were one of the first european budget airlines having started in the 1970’s providing an island-hopping air service from the UK mainland to each of the three Islands. Jet2 Jet 2 is a favourite european budget airline of mine and operates out off Leeds Bradford airport. Destinations: Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belfast, Faro, Geneva, Malaga, Murcia, Nice, Palma, Prague, Venice.

Jet Magic Jetmagic started operations in April 2003, and now serves more than 10 destinations around the Europe. Destinations: Cork, Milan, Nantes, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Jersey, Belfast, Nice, Edinburgh, London, Alicante, Liverpool.

Meridiana An Italian low cost carrier. Destinations: London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Turin, Milan, Venice, Verona, Pisa, Florence, Napoli, Palermo, catania, Cagliari, Olbia.
